As usual the markets wait for the almighty Fed to make a statement so they can either buy or sell based on what he says. Investors expect to hear about measures to support the economy, if they don’t the market will get ugly quick. Tech stocks are the top gainers in morning trading with Oracle Corp jumping more than 6% after posting better than expected earnings. Let’s forget about the big boys for a little bit and check out what penny stocks are doing today. There are two penny stocks posting some decent gains this morning. One is POSC, the other is DTRO.

Positron Corp. (OTCBB:POSC) is up about 40% this morning at $0.0259 and was as high as about $0.3. POSC announced there $38 million Midwestern Disaster Area Bond volume cap application was accepted. These bonds will be part of a long-term investment for the company’s proposed 70 MeV cyclotron project in Noblesville, Indiana. POSC is up on large volume with over 12 million shares traded so far today.

Deltron, Inc. (OTCBB:DTRO) is up 50% today at $0.0003 with and was as high as $0.0004. Deltron announced this morning that it is developing the manufacturing capability for a Fortune 500 company consumer product. Man, this sounds like a great company to buy especially at this price right? Well 99.9% of these press releases are complete BS, and this one probably falls in that category. DTRO was trading at over $0.03 earlier this year and now its trading at fractions of a penny. Doesn’t really sound like a company a Fortune 500 company would work with does it. But hey who knows, anything can happen in the stock market.
